New online master’s program leverages artificial intelligence to improve population health
In Fall 2024, the University of Louisville launched a 100% online Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medicine and become one of the few universities in the nation to offer this interdisciplinary degree.

Dr. Dongfeng Wu wrote Probability Modeling and Statistical Inference in Cancer Screening; Demetra Antimisiaris published “Specific Medication Literacy in Older Adults;” Dr. Melissa Eggen contributed to an article published in Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health; Bert Little published “Environment driven changes in type 2 diabetes, overweight and obesity in an isolated Mixe community in the Valley of Oaxaca, southern Mexico;" and, Dr. Shuoyang Wang, Dr. Wei Fu, Dr. Melissa Eggen, Dr. Tammi Thomas, and Deepti Miller presented at academics conferences.
