I gained invaluable real-world research experience by joining interdisciplinary health research teams, opportunities that led to conference presentations at local, regional, and national conferences, and publications in scientific journals. What was most memorable about my experience at UofL was the supportive community and mentorship. At UofL, I had access to incredible mentors who invested in me, supported my work, and facilitated my academic journey into what ultimately led to a dream career. My experience at UofL shaped me into the professor, public health researcher, health equity advocate, and person I am today, and I will always be grateful.
