Development Officer Update

Sidebar

As we move into spring, I’m reminded how much public health is fueled by people who choose to show up for their communities in big ways and small ones. In my role as Assistant Director of Development for UofL’s School of Public Health and Information Sciences (SPHIS), I get a front-row seat to the generosity behind our students, research, and partnerships. Not to mention the progress on the new Health Science Innovation Hub.

Stay plugged into upcoming SPHIS events

  • From guest speakers to school gatherings, SPHIS hosts opportunities to learn, reconnect, and meet the people behind the work. You can keep an eye on what’s coming through the school event listings.
  • Reconnect as alumni and friends. If it’s been a while since you’ve engaged with SPHIS, there are plenty of easy entry points, from alumni updates to ways to volunteer, mentor, or support students.
  • If SPHIS has shaped your career, your thinking, or your community, I’d love for you to take one next step this month:

Choose one way to engage:

  1. Attend an upcoming SPHIS event,
  2. Reach out to talk about philanthropy that matches your priorities, or
  3. Make a gift to support SPHIS students and programs.

A quick email or conversation is often the easiest place to start, and I’m always happy to help you find an opportunity that fits. You may reach me at 502-852-3523 or christy.dickerson@louisville.edu.

Together we can inspire and empower the leaders of tomorrow, ensuring a brighter future for all. We hope you will be part of this year’s impact.
