PHPH 101 – Introduction to Public Health
3 credit hours | Fall Semester (August—December)
This course is an introduction to the broad and impactful discipline of public health. Students learn about its history and practice, the science of epidemiology and the determinants of health and disease.

PHEP 200 – Disease Detectives
3 credit hours | Spring Semester (January—May)
This course covers the history of epidemics, the evolution of epidemiology, the role of public health and concepts of disease transmission and surveillance. Students learn how the epidemiological approach has been applied to historical and current epidemics of infectious and chronic diseases.
